Shanghai Dairy Association

　　Shanghai Dairy Association(SDA) was established in September 1984. It is a non-profit interdepartmental and trans-ownership social organization as legal person, which is formed voluntarily by enterprises and institutions in the dairy cow breeding and dairy processing industry.

　　SDA consists of 108 member units under various forms of wonership, among which there are 44 dairy cow breeding units, 11 dairy processing units, 5 marketing units and 48 service units. It has 5 vice-chairman units and 25 director units. The association has set up 9 branches and working organs, including Expert Committee, Dairy Processing Committee, Dairy Cow Breeding Committee, Milk for Students Office, Milk Source Quality Control Group.

　　SDA coordinates the interest relations among members and among all links of the industrial chain of dairy cow breeding, dairy processing and dairy sales, to promote the sustained, steady, healthy and coordinated development of the dairy industry. It deals with the emergencies timely and accurately, delivers the true and credible information to the public on behalf of the whole industry, catches any opportunity to build up a positive image of the industry and promotes its social popularity and public trust. It also reflects the voice of the dairy industry and gives suggestions to the competent department of the government to gain more support from the government. Besides, it provides its members with the feature services such as products recommendating, technology consultation, business traning,communication and cooperation. The association publishes Dairy Trade Information (bimonthly) and Science and Technology of Dairy Trade (bimonthly) to offer all kinds of information to tis member units and holds the nationwide or regional academic seminar and the dairy industry exhibition participated by the domestic and foreign famous dairy manufacturers every year.
